Hi there, I’m Hope Choman, LCSW

I’m a therapist who supports adults working through trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is collaborative, relational, and compassionate. I focus on creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore your story at a pace that feels comfortable.

Professional Background

Before opening my private practice, I worked in both a community mental health center and in hospital-based settings, including oncology and palliative care. Being alongside individuals and families during times of mental health challenges, chronic illness, grief, end-of-life experiences, and uncertainty deepened my understanding of how trauma, anxiety, and depression can influence how people experience themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. These experiences shaped the compassionate, grounded, and integrative approach I bring to therapy today.

Why I Do This Work

I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, connected, and at ease within themselves, even though life doesn’t always make that possible. Many people learn early on to stay strong, care for others, or push down their own feelings just to get through. Over time, those patterns can take a toll, leaving you feeling anxious, exhausted, or distant from your own needs and inner experience.

I became a therapist because I understand how painful it can be to hold these experiences alone. It matters deeply to me to offer a space that feels safe and supportive, where you can begin to understand your story with compassion and curiosity.

My work is to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with themselves, gain clarity about their experiences, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and aligned.
